Zhang Enli 

 

 

Zhang Enli was born in Jilin province in 1965. He graduated from Wuxi Technical University, Arts and Design Institute in 1989 and currently living in Shanghai. Zhang Enli’s work has been featured in numerous important exhibitions, including Hauser & Wirth, Zürich (2020); Xavier Hufkens, Brussels, Belgium (2019); Galleria Borghese, Rome, Italy (2019); K11 Art Foundation (2019); Royal Academy of Arts, London, UK (2018); Hauser & Wirth, New York (2018); Firstsite, Colchester, England (2017); Hauser & Wirth, Zürich (2016); Moca, Taipei, Taiwan (2015); ShanghART, Shanghai, China (2015); Hauser & Wirth, London (2014); K11 Art Foundation, HK (2014); Villa Croze, Genoa, Italy (2013); Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, England (2013); Hauser & Wirth, Zürich (2012); Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai, China (2011); Minsheng Art Museum, Shanghai, China (2010); and Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, England (2009), a presentation which travelled to Kunsthalle Bern, Berne, Switzerland (2009) etc.

Wang Dawei

 

 

Wang Dawei graduated from Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts ( now China Academy of Art) in 1982, where he majored in Chinese painting. He then started teaching at the Shanghai  Academy of Fine Arts in the same year, and successively served as Deputy Director, Director and then Deputy Dean of its Chinese Painting Department.

Wang is currently the Executive Dean of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, the eighth Advisor of Shanghai Artists Association, and the Vice President of Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

 

 

Yan Pei-Ming 

 

 

Born in Shanghai in 1960, the painter Yan Pei-Ming lives and works in Dijon. At the age of nineteen Yan Pei-Ming decided to go to France. After graduation from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Dijon, he quickly became noticed for his portraits. He was in residence at the Villa Medici, Académie de France in Rome, in 1993-1994. His participation to the 2003 Venice Biennale has brought him recognition on the international art scene. Six years later, the Louvre Museum invited him to a confrontation with the Mona Lisa by way of a series of paintings entitled Les Funérailles de Mona Lisa [The Funerals of Mona Lisa]. Yan Pei-Ming’s work has recently been exhibited in New York, Paris, London, Beijing, Malaga, Salzburg, Rome, Hong Kong and Vienna.

 

 

Zeng Fanzhi 

 

 

Zeng Fanzhi was born in Wuhan, China in 1964, and lives and works in Beijing. Solo museum exhibitions include: “Zeng Fanzhi: Idealism,” Singapore Art Museum, Singapore (2007); “Zeng Fanzhi,” Musée d'Art Moderne de Saint-Etienne de Metropole (2007); “Zeng Fanzhi,” Fundación Godia, Barcelona (2009); “2010: Zeng Fanzhi,” Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai (2010); “Zeng Fanzhi”, Gagosian Gallery, New York (2011); “Zeng Fanzhi”, Gagosian Gallery, London (2013); and “Zeng Fanzhi: Paintings, Drawings and Two Sculptures”, Gagosian Gallery, New York (2015).

His works have also been featured in various group exhibitions, including: the 53rd Venice Biennale (2009); “The World Belongs to You,” Palazzo Grassi, Venice (2011–12);  "Prima Materia,” Punta Della Dogna, Venice, Italy (2013); “Ink Art: Past as Present in Contemporary China,” Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (2013–14), etc.

Zeng’s work was the subject of a phased retrospective at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris in 2013–14. Invited by the specially commissioned exhibition at the Musée du Louvre in 2014, his painting From 1830 till now No. 4 (2014) was shown alongside Eugène Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People (1830).

Since 2013, Qiao Zhibing has been frequently listed on the ARTnews “the world’s top 200 collector”.
