TANK Shanghai项目空间欣悦呈现艺术家徐毛毛（出生于1979年，工作、生活于北京）的首次机构个展「啵波咔」（Peep Bubble），集中展出艺术家综合运用丙烯绘画与喷涂技法的六件全新画作。
这些人身尺度的绘画，排布着大大小小的眼睛、香肠状的双头乳房，以及简笔串联的人脸肖像，准确地平衡着Q弹柔润的手工感与数字平面设计的平滑边缘。从画布里仿佛投射出暖洋洋摇动着的阳光，将观者沐浴其中。身体及至身份的差异袒露在多彩的眼睛前，就好像没有什么能阻碍这份坦然。乳房也不再是任何刻板印象中的欲望形象；它们轻盈且自由，永远地摆脱了重力，向着愉悦友好的目光漫游。
徐毛毛毕业于西安美术学院油画系，在过去20余年的创作生涯中，她从未停止对图像构造的探索。明媚率真的色彩，密实饱满的平涂，营造微妙体积感的渐变喷涂，运用剪贴刻划所形成的平滑边沿，构成了在尝试运用绘图软件制作小稿后所形成的明晰画面。徐毛毛说：“经历过一番内心的躁动后，我可以安静下来，仔细聆听。这些新画便是我‘聆听’到的世界。能分享给大家，我感到很开心。”
此次展览还将特别呈现「工作室的一角：徐毛毛的珍奇柜」，向观者克制地透露艺术家创作后台的“秘密武器”；并于项目空间的玻璃幕墙“铺设”此次新作系列中首次亮相的「眼睛链条」，由此引导观者步入徐毛毛的绘画世界。

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Xu Maomao
Born in 1979 in Ürümqi, Xinjiang, Xu Maomao graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 2002 and currently lives and works in Beijing. For over 20 years she has been painting in her studio: from creating images, symbols and stories that echo the reality of space and art history, to painting entirely starting from herself, without any burden. The figures she conceives, such as the ‘two-headed monster’ and the ‘water-drop person,’ are constantly projected and morphed into newer graphs throughout the different stages of her practice. The dense and even monochromes pop out from the slight cascade of paint layers and the smooth, bouncy contours of the shapes. Although the visual quality of surrealism, minimalism and even caricature and graffiti, Xu Mao Mao’s paintings are frankly independent of any labelling of styles.
