TANK ART FESTIVAL

“TANK ART FESTIVAL 2025” brings together artists from all over the world to present the “Art in Life” project, featuring surprising life scenarios envisioned by many significant contemporary artists. Initiatives like Art Karaoke, Art Canteen, and Art Convenience Store invite the audience to participate, experience, and perceive the fusion of life and art. Art can provoke deep reflection or simply be delightful fun—it’s not just about “exhibitions” but a possibility for life.

From the first edition of “TANK ART FESTIVAL”, which featured the large-scale project “The Force Temple” by the artist collective represented by Tang Dixin, creating an immersive atmosphere; to the second edition’s “Art Expert Clinic,” where artists, gallerists, curators, and collectors took shifts at the “TANK Clinic”, offering advice to art-loving visitors; and then to the underground boxing match “Art Power List,” “TANK Art BA,” and “Art Supermarket” with hundreds of participating artists… “TANK ART FESTIVAL” is a citywide art carnival rooted in contemporary art, combining exhibitions, events, and performances while emphasizing direct interaction and entertainment between artists and the audience—bridging contemporary art and the public.

In Shanghai’s finest season, a convergence of fascinating elements and diverse cultural possibilities will unfold at the TANK Shanghai art center.

“TANK ART FESTIVAL 2025” will be grandly presented at TANK Shanghai from October 5 to 7, 2025, during the National Day holiday! This year’s festival will revolve around the theme “Art Lives.” “Art Lives”* is an exploration of life, confronting the restlessness of reality and inner unease to reach a state of tranquility and fulfillment. Art is the faint light that illuminates the path ahead. Through carefully curated projects and interactions by artists, “TANK ART FESTIVAL” will explore how art subtly influences our daily lives, becoming an inner strength to face challenges and perceive beauty.
